In partnership with ‘Technology for Ageing and Disability Tasmania’ (TADTas), Clarence Aquatic Centre is now offering a subsidised inclusive swimming program.
Available from the July School Holidays is a swimming program specifically for children living with a disability. The program is to allow participants to experience the water and gain water safety and swimming skills, reinforcing these learnings over one week as they participate in a 45min lesson each day.
To join the program, participants will need:
- Some familiarisation with the water. The program will be held in a pool that is 1m in depth.
- Swimwear, cap and goggles
- Any other equipment that will allow safe participation in the aquatic environment (please call us if you are unsure).
Please note: our shallow water Program Pool will be undergoing maintenance during this period so we are unable to cater for young beginners during this time. If your child is a beginner, please email us as we will contact you for our following program in September.
Program 1:
- Dates: Monday 10 July – Friday 14 July inclusive
- Time: Between 10:30am and 12:00pm (to be allocated upon enrolment)
Program 2:
- Dates: Monday 17 – Friday 21 July inclusive
